realization and goal

With this work, I would like to criticize the image of the „perfect family“ (mostly traditional constellations) and the way it is depicted photographically. To do so, I want to portray families that do not qualify for the traditional family image. By staging a homely environment and typical poses, which are intended to show the relationships between the people, I want to create an exaggeratedly harmonious atmosphere. The „standardized“ and uniform imagery of the family portrait is intended to make the viewer understand that all constellations are families equally. Nevertheless, I also want to criticize the „classic“ way of depicting family, which is acting as a symbol against the diversity of family due to it pushing all constellations in the same shape. In addition, I want to address the efforts that are often made to maintain the supposedly perfect image of a family towards society.
